No classes on Monday, September 6

There are no classes on Monday, September 6 due to the Labor Day holiday. The Enrollment Center, along with all district sites, will also be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 7.

Masking expectations

When we all do our part, together we can reduce COVID cases and ensure our students stay in in-person learning. Starting on Tuesday, September 7, all students will wear masks while inside our buildings. The only exceptions are for students who have a documented and approved medical exemption or a district-approved exemption based on the educational or the social and emotional needs of the student.

If your child is using a reusable mask provided by your school, please make sure your child is bringing back that mask every day.

You can always find up to date information - including how to request an approved exemption from mask-wearing - on our website at www.tulsaschools.org/safety.

COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday, September 11

You can protect your child and everyone else in school with a COVID-19 vaccination, recently approved by the FDA. Tulsa Public Schools is teaming up with Saint Francis to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations for students ages 12 and older and their families on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tulsa Public Schools Education Service Center (3027 S. New Haven Ave.). Families can schedule their appointment at www.Tulsaschools.org/vaccine

COVID-19 recovery input needed

We want to hear from you about our use of our ESSER III American Rescue Plan funds. We are planning to invest in the following areas related to COVID-19 recovery: addressing learning loss; meeting the social and emotional needs of students and staff; and facility improvements to improve and maintain the health and safety of staff and students. We are seeking your input on how you think we should use these one-time funds to strengthen supports in these areas. Click here for the survey, and click here to learn more about financial services at Tulsa Public Schools.

Our COVID-19 Case Count for the period of August 27 - September 2 is available here. You can also find the COVID-19 Case Count for previous weeks on our website at www.tulsaschools.org/casecount.
